Nolo contendere

Nolo contendere ist ein juristischer Begriff, der aus dem Latein kommt für "Ich will nicht zu kämpfen." Es wird auch als Klage eines Wettbewerbs bezeichnet. In Strafverfahren in bestimmten US-Jurisdiktionen ist es ein Plädoyer, in dem der Angeklagte weder eine Anklage anerkennt noch streitet und als Alternative zu einem Schuldspruch oder nicht schuldig ist. Ein No-Contest-Klagegrund, wenn auch nicht technisch eine schuldige Bitte, hat die gleiche unmittelbare Wirkung wie eine schuldige Bitte, und wird oft als Teil eines plea Schnäppchen angeboten. In vielen jurisdiktionen ist ein plädoyer von nolo contendere kein Recht und trägt verschiedene Einschränkungen für seine Verwendung.
