Crowfoot oder Isapo-Muxika war ein Chef der Siksika First Nation. Seine Eltern, Istowun-eh'pata und Axkahp-sagen-pi, waren Kainai. Sein Bruder Iron Shield wurde Chief Bull. Er war erst fünf, als Istowun-eh'pata bei einem Raid auf dem Krähenstamm getötet wurde, und ein Jahr später heiratete seine Mutter an Akay-nehka-simi des Siksika-Volkes. Der junge Junge wurde von der Siksika adoptiert, die ihm den Namen Kyi-i-staah gab, bis er den Namen seines Vaters erhalten konnte, Istowun-eh'pata. Wegen seiner tapferen Aufführung und Verletzung während einer Schlacht, wurde er endlich seinen erwachsenen Namen, Isapo-Muxika, von einem verstorbenen Verwandten genommen. Crowfoot war ein Krieger, der in so vielen wie 19 Schlachten kämpfte und viele Verletzungen erlitt. Trotzdem versuchte er, Frieden statt Stammeskrieg zu erlangen. Als die kanadische pazifische Eisenbahn ihre Hauptlinie durch das Blackfoot-Gebiet bauen wollte, überzeugten die Verhandlungen mit Albert Lacombe Crowfoot, dass es erlaubt sein sollte. Im Jahre 1877 gründeten Oberst James Macleod und Leutnant-Gouverneur David Laird Vertrag Nr. 7 und überzeugten Crowfoot und andere Häuptlinge, um es zu unterzeichnen.
