Delustrant
Ein Delustrant ist eine Substanz, die den Glanz von synthetischen Fasern reduziert. Die häufigste Delustrant ist Anatas Titandioxid. Verwendung im Kontext: Das Betrachten des weißen Gesichtes des Zigarettenfilters mit dem bloßen Auge und die Kompression der Filtersäule mit den Fingern würde vorschlagen, dass der Filter aus einem schwammartigen Material besteht. Allerdings zeigt das Öffnen des Zigarettenfilters, indem er es in Längsrichtung mit einem Rasiermesser schneidet, dass es aus einer faserigen Masse besteht. Ausbreitung der Matrix zeigt einige der mehr als 12 000 weißen Fasern. Mikroskopisch sind diese Fasern Y-förmig und enthalten das delustrant Titandioxid.
