Stele (Biologie)
In einer Gefäßpflanze ist die Stele der zentrale Teil der Wurzel oder des Stammes, der die aus dem Procambium gewonnenen Gewebe enthält. L. van Tieghem und H. Doultion als Modell für das Verständnis der Beziehung zwischen dem Trieb und der Wurzel und zur Diskussion über die Evolution der vaskulären Pflanzenmorphologie entwickelt.
