Weiden
Das Weiden ist eine Art von Fütterung, in der ein Pflanzenfresser auf Pflanzen und auch auf andere multizelluläre Autotrophen fressen. Das Weiden unterscheidet sich von der wahren Prädation, weil der Organismus, der gegessen wird, nicht im Allgemeinen getötet wird, und er unterscheidet sich vom Parasitismus, da die beiden Organismen nicht zusammenleben, noch ist der Grazer zwangsläufig so eingeschränkt, was er essen kann. Viele kleine selektive Pflanzenfresser folgen größeren Grazern, die das höchste, harte Wachstum der Pflanzen abschöpfen und zarte Triebe aussetzen. Für terrestrische Tiere ist das Weiden in der Regel von dem Surfen in dieser Weide zu unterscheiden Gras oder Gabeln zu unterscheiden, und das Surfen isst Holzzweige und Blätter von Bäumen und Sträuchern. Weiden ist wichtig in der Landwirtschaft, in denen inländischen Viehbestand verwendet werden, um Gras und andere Futter in Fleisch, Milch und andere Produkte umzuwandeln. Wassertiere, die zum Beispiel auf Algen fressen, die auf Steinen gefunden werden, heißen Grazers-Schaber. Grazers-Schaber fressen auch auf Mikroorganismen und toter organischer Substanz auf verschiedenen Substraten.
