Holi
Holi ist ein Frühlingsfest, auch bekannt als das Fest der Farben oder das Fest der Liebe. Es ist ein altes hinduistisches religiöses Fest, das in Nichts Hindus in vielen Teilen Südasiens, sowie Menschen anderer Gemeinschaften außerhalb Asiens populär geworden ist. Es wird vor allem in Indien, Nepal und anderen Regionen der Welt mit bedeutenden Populationen von Hindus oder Menschen indischen Ursprungs beobachtet. Das Festival hat sich in jüngster Zeit auf Teile von Europa und Nordamerika als Frühlingsfeier von Liebe, Scherz und Farben verbreitet. Holi-Feiern beginnen mit einem Holika-Lagerfeuer in der Nacht vor Holi, wo Menschen sammeln, singen und tanzen. Am nächsten Morgen ist ein freier Karneval der Farben, wo die Teilnehmer spielen, jagen und sich gegenseitig mit trockenem Pulver und farbigem Wasser färben, mit einigen tragenden Wasserpistolen und farbigen wassergefüllten Ballons für ihren Wasserkampf. Jeder und jeder ist faires Spiel, Freund oder Fremder, reich oder arm, Mann oder Frau, Kinder und Ältesten. Der Scherz und Kampf mit Farben kommt in den offenen Straßen, offenen Parks, außerhalb Tempel und Gebäude. Gruppen tragen Trommeln und Musikinstrumente, gehen von Ort zu Ort, singen und tanzen.
