Eine andere Definition von nomologisch ist die Angabe oder Beziehung zu einer nichtlogischen Notwendigkeit oder einem Naturgesetz. Der Unterschied zwischen einer nomologischen und einer bloß universellen Aussage ist, dass man vom Universellen alle As sein kann, Bs kann man nicht, aber vom Nomologischen alles As Bs sein kann, kann man das Kontrafaktische herleiten, wenn dies ein A wäre, wäre es ein B.
