Repinique
Eine Repinique ist eine zweiköpfige brasilianische Trommel, die in Samba Baterias verwendet wird. Es wird in den Rio de Janeiro und São Paulo Karnevalsbaterias und in den Baterias von Bahia verwendet, wo es als Repique bekannt ist. Es entspricht dem Tom-Tom im nicht-brasilianischen Drum-Kit oder der Tenor-Trommel in marschierenden Bands. Es ist sehr hoch abgestimmt, um einen Ton zu erzeugen, der durch den Klang des Restes der Bateria schneidet und es ist ein Blei- und Soloinstrument. Typischerweise ist der Körper aus Metall gefertigt. Die Köpfe aus Nylon werden durch den Einsatz von Metall-Stimmstangen angezogen. Das Instrument ist in der Regel kleiner im Durchmesser als die brasilianische Caixa aber einige Zentimeter länger in der Höhe und fehlt eine Snare. Es wird mit einem Schultergurt getragen, der an einer der Stimmstangen befestigt ist. Im Rio-Stil Samba wird es mit einem Holzstab und einer Hand gespielt. In Bahia wird es mit zwei Holzstäbchen gewöhnlich gespielt, aber in manchen Fällen auch wie der Rio-Stil. Es kann auch mit zwei dünnen Plastik "whippy" Stöcken gespielt werden. Schultergurt Die Repinique wurde in Samba Percussion in den 1950er Jahren gegründet. Dann wurde diese Trommel aus Holz mit natürlichen Köpfen aus Ziegenfell gemacht.
