Skorbut

Es wurde von Hippokrates beschrieben, und Kräuterheilungen für Skorbut sind in vielen Heimatkulturen seit der Vorgeschichte bekannt. Skorbut war einer der begrenzenden Faktoren der Seefahrt, oft tötete eine große Anzahl von Passagieren und Besatzung auf Langstreckenfahrten.
