Schamanismus
Schamanismus ist eine Praxis, die einen Praktiker mit veränderten Bewusstseinszuständen einbezieht, um mit der Geisterwelt zu begegnen und zu interagieren und diese transzendentalen Energien in diese Welt zu bringen. Ein Schamane ist eine Person, die als den Zugang zu und die Einflüsse in die Welt der wohlwollenden und bösartigen Geister angesehen wird, die typischerweise während eines Rituals in einen Trancezustand eintritt und die Wahrsagerei und Heilung praktiziert. Der Begriff "Schamanismus" wurde zuerst auf die alte Religion der Türken und Mongolen sowie auf die benachbarten Tungusischen und Samoyedisch sprechenden Völker angewandt. Das Wort "Schamane" stammt aus der Tungusic Evenki-Sprache Nordasiens und wurde im Westen eingeführt, nachdem russische Truppen das schamanistische Khanat von Kasan im Jahre 1552 erobert hatten. Als wir mehr über religiöse Traditionen auf der ganzen Welt erfuhren, beschrieb der westliche Gelehrte auch ähnliche magisch-religiöse Praktiken innerhalb der ethnischen Religionen anderer Teile Asiens, Afrikas, Australasiens und Amerikas als Schamanismus gefunden.
