Die Valorisierung oder Wertschätzung des Kapitals ist ein theoretisches Konzept, das Karl Marx in seiner Kritik an der politischen Ökonomie geschaffen hat. Der deutsche Ursprungsbegriff ist "Verwertung", aber das ist schwer zu übersetzen und oft falsch als "Realisierung des Kapitals", "Schaffung von Mehrwert" oder "Selbstausdehnung des Kapitals" oder "Wertzunahme" dargestellt. In deutscher Sprache ist die allgemeine Bedeutung von "Verwertung" der produktive Gebrauch einer Ressource und genauer die Verwendung oder Anwendung von etwas, so dass es Geld verdient oder Wert schafft, mit der Konnotation, dass sich das Ding selbst bestätigt und sich bewährt hat Es ergibt sich ein ergebnis, ein ergebnis. So wird etwas "geschätzt", wenn es seinen Wert gegeben hat. Ähnlich verweist das spezifische Konzept von Marx sowohl auf den Prozess, bei dem ein Kapitalwert verliehen oder auf etwas verliehen wird, als auch auf die Erhöhung des Wertes eines Kapitalvermögens innerhalb der Produktionssphäre.

The valorisation or valorization of capital is a theoretical concept created by Karl Marx in his critique of political economy. The German original term is "Verwertung" but this is difficult to translate, and often wrongly rendered as "realisation of capital", "creation of surplus-value" or "self-expansion of capital" or "increase in value". In German, the general meaning of "Verwertung" is the productive use of a resource, and more specifically the use or application of something so that it makes money, or generates value, with the connotation that the thing validates itself and proves its worth when it results in earnings, a yield. Thus, something is "valorised" if it has yielded its value. Similarly, Marx's specific concept refers both to the process whereby a capital value is conferred or bestowed on something, and to the increase in the value of a capital asset, within the sphere of production.
