Malaria
Malaria ist eine Krankheit, die durch den weltweit häufigsten Protozoen-Parasiten verursacht wird. Plasmodium trägt jährlich zu etwa 3 Millionen Fällen und 1,5 bis 2,7 Millionen Todesfällen bei. Malaria ist eine vektorübertragene Infektionskrankheit, die durch Protozoen-Parasiten verursacht wird. Sie erstreckt sich auf tropische und subtropische Gebiete, einschließlich Teile von Amerika, Asien und Afrika. Jedes Jahr erkrankt es an rund 650 Millionen Menschen und tötet zwischen einer und drei Millionen Menschen, meist Kinder in Afrika südlich der Sahara.
