Glomus

Glomus

Glomus is a genus from the section of the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi with about 90 described species, which excrete a protein called Glomalin. This protein glues small particles of soil to small globules. This advantageously improves the soil structure for plants, because the soil becomes air permeable and water-absorbent.
