Nosode

Nosodes are homeopathic remedies made from "diseased" or pathological material such as blood, pus, pathogens or cancer cells. Products of body-borne constituents, such as cells from organs or body-generated secretions, or excrements, such as hormones, are also enumerated. The concept goes back to the American Constantin Hering, who coined the term 1830. Nosodes should stimulate the immune system or diseased organs. In this way, diseases are to be healed and toxins are to be cleansed. A particular branch of homeopathy, the homotoxicology, founded by the German physician Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg, focuses on the therapy of toxins produced in the body. They are used in high homeopathic potencies in which no substance is present from the starting material. Important nosodes used in homeopathy are, for example, B. Medorrhinum, Syphilinum, Psorinum and Tuberculinum bovinum Kent. Nosodes are produced as finished medicinal drugs or individually from the patient's body material.
