Patrilinearität

Patrilinearität

Patriarchy or paternal succession refers to the transmission and transmission of social qualities and property, as well as the family name, exclusively through the male line of fathers to sons. In this case, the passing on of relations between relatives, social positions, offices, prestige, privileges and property from one generation to the next is unilateral according to the descent of the man. The line of the woman and her mother or her father remains irrelevant. Daughters are not taken into account in their paternal succession since they can not continue the line of their father independently: After a marriage, married women have to move to their husbands, common children are then counted to his family, they bear his name and continue his line, not The line of the wife or her father. The best-known forms of patilinearity are "master lines", especially among aristocratic families and rulers in the European cultural area.
