Acule is the term used in Botany to designate fine and delicate stingers that are not hurtful. By extension, the acicular organs are those with long and thin, especially the leaves of the pines, which are called simply "needles." In other disciplines such as Zoology or Mineralogy this term is also used, always referring to organs or other long, thin and pointed elements. Acícula es el término empleado en Botánica para designar aguijones finos y delicados que no son hirientes. Por extensión, los órganos aciculares son aquellos con forma larga y fina, muy especialmente las hojas de los pinos, a las que se llama simplemente «acículas». En otras disciplinas como la Zoología o la Mineralogía también se usa este término, haciendo referencia siempre a órganos u otros elementos largos, finos y puntiagudos.
