WHAT DOES OESTRIOL MEAN IN FRENCH?
estriol
Estriol or estriol is one of the three main estrogen produced in the human body. It is only during pregnancy that it is produced in significant quantities as it is produced by the placenta. Estriol levels in non-pregnant women do not change much after menopause, and rates do not differ much from those seen in men. DHEA is produced by the adrenal cortex of the fetus, then is converted to estriol by the placenta.
Definition of oestriol in the French dictionary
The definition of estriol in the dictionary is ovarian estrogen whose physiological role is to trigger estrus and to reveal female sexual characteristics.
