मुहा०—धूनी देना = गंध मिश्रित या विशेष प्रकार का धुआँ
उठाना या पहुँचाना । जैसे, इसे मिर्चों की धूनी दो तो
भूत छोड़ेगा ।
२. वह आग जिसे साधु या तो ठंढ से बचने के लिये अथवा
शरीर को तपाने या कष्ट पहुँचाने के लिये अपने सामने
जलाए रहते हैं । साधुओं के तापने की आग । उ०—विहरागिन
