Upanishads
The Upaniṣad are a set of Indian religious and philosophical texts composed in Sanskrit from the IX-VIII century BC up to IV century BC although gradually they were added to minors until the sixteenth century, reaching a total of about three hundred works with this name. Oral transmission was first written in 1656 when the Muslim sultan Dara Shikoh ordered the translation from Sanskrit to the Persian of fifty of them, and then their writing in writing. The term Upaniṣad derives from the Sanskrit root word: sad and by prefixes up and ni or "sit by" but lower, suggesting the action of listening to spiritual teachings.
