Hattusha 【Hattu \u0026 # x015F; a】 Ruins near the village Boazcare, located about 150 km east of Turkish capital Ankara. It flourished from the 17th century BC to the 13th century BC and is regarded as the capital of the Hittite empire known for its first use of ironware in human history. Early in the 20th century, discovered by German archaeologist Winkler. There are ruins of the Great Temples, the Shishi Gate, the Sphinx 's Gate, the King's Gate and the Great Citadel. In 1986, it was registered as a World Heritage (cultural heritage). Hattusa.
