Piercing
Pierce (English: pierce) is a generic term for jewelry that penetrates a hole in a part of the body and passes through the hole. Originally, a verb meaning "to make a hole penetrate". In piercing (English: piercing), it means "to pierce a hole", and in some cases piercing through that hole. When clearly indicating that it is a hole to the body, it is called body piercing. However, these usually refer to the act of "puncturing" itself, which means that piercing (jewelry itself passing through the ear hole) is called "earrings" without saying "piercing" in English. In other words, what we call "jewelry" as "pierce" is Japanese-style Japanese English. Also, in Japan, jewelry that we attach to ears without opening a hole in our ears is called "earrings", but it is also Japanese-style Japanese English that is unique to Japan.
