Caldas da Rainha 【Town of Western Portugal】. In Portuguese it means "Queen's spa". From the 15th century Leonor, King of Portuguese King Joan II, was founded establishing the oldest spa treatment hospital in the world. In Don Carlos I Park, which was a park attached to the hospital, there is an art museum holding works of the artist Jose Morjo from Caldas, and a pottery museum of pottery artist Rafael Bodaro Pineiro. カルダス‐ダ‐ライーニャ【Caldas da Rainha】 ポルトガル西部の町。ポルトガル語で「王妃の湯治場」を意味する。15世紀にポルトガル王ジョアン2世の妃レオノールが、世界最古とされる鉱泉治療病院を設立したことに由来。病院付属の公園だったドンカルロス1世公園には、カルダス出身の画家ジョゼ=マリョアの作品を所蔵する美術館、陶芸作家ラファエル=ボルダロ=ピネイロの陶器博物館がある。
