Marienberg [Marienberg Fortress] "Festung Marienberg" Fortress in Würzburg, the city of Bavaria, central Germany. It was used as an archbishop fortress and citadel from 1253 to 1719. From the beginning of the 13th century, mainly the Marien church built in the 8th century, the palace was expanded, and the castle wall and the moat were surrounded and fortified. マリエンベルク‐ようさい【マリエンベルク要塞】 《Festung Marienberg》ドイツ中部、バイエルン州の都市、ビュルツブルクにある要塞。1253年から1719年まで大司教の居城兼要塞として使われた。8世紀に建てられたマリエン教会を中心に、13世紀初め頃から宮殿を拡張し、城壁や濠をめぐらして要塞化が図られた。
