Namibe
Namibe is the city of Angola. It is a port town located on the southwestern coast, the capital of Namibe. Population 132,900 people (2004). Until 1985 it was called by the name Mosamides. It is the fourth port city of Angola, second only to Luanda, Lobito and Benguerra, and is connected by railway of 1067 mm in length to Menoguee in the inland area. As the strong cold current Benguerra Current flows, the climate of Namibe is cool and dry, and it is an extended desert climate of the Namib Desert spreading south.
