Kananga (English: Kananga) is a city located in Western Kasai province in central Democratic Republic of Congo. Previously it was called Lulu Bourg (English: Luluabourg). It will be the capital of Lulua Province, which will be born in the reorganization of the local administrative division to be held in 2009. As of 2012, the population is approximately 1.6 million people. Cananga is located along the River River, a tributary of the Kasai River, and a railway connecting Ilebo and Lubumbashi passes.
