Salt
Salt is a salt-water flavor. This flavor is very important for cooking. Indonesian cuisine especially in coastal areas is more dominant in salty flavor than sweetness. Salty taste can be mixed with other tastes such as sweet, sour or spicy taste as in the sauce. Certain foodstuffs are usually salted with salts, such as salted fish and salted eggs. After several days of dipping the ingredients are solid and can be stored for longer periods of time. Some culinary spices also have a salty taste like salt. Sea water is salt-sourced because it contains a lot of salt, as it can not be used as a drink to cause thirst. In order to be able to drink fresh water it must be first dipped.
