Definition of 액틴 in the Korean dictionary
Actin It is a protein that constitutes muscles and is one of the basic materials of myosin and muscular contraction system. It was found that contraction occurs when a new protein is added to ATP but not contraction of myosin due to addition of ATP, and this new protein was named actin in the sense that it gives activity to myosine as actin. 액틴
근육을 구성하는 단백질로 미오신과 함께 근수축계(筋收縮系)의 기본을 이루는 물질의 하나이다. ATP만을 가해서 미오신의 수축이 일어나지 않고, 여기에 새로운 단백질을 가했을 때 비로서 수축이 일어나는 것을 발견하였는데, 이 새로운 단백질이 액틴으로서, 미오신에 활성을 준다는 뜻에서 액틴이라고 명명되었다.
