또 항산균에 오라민, 로다민 등 형광물질을 부착시켜, 그 2차 형광을 형광현미경으로써 관찰하는 방법이 있는데, 이것으로써 스크리닝하고, 그 뒤 Ziehl-Neelsen법으로 확인한다. 결핵에서는 건락괴사소(乾酪壞死巢)의 주변부 혹은 유상피세포(類上皮細胞)를 중심으로 관찰하면 균을 찾아내기 쉽다.
