Definition of 후두원음 in the Korean dictionary
When the breath sent from the laryngeal sound lung passes through the gate, the vocal fold mucosa vibrates periodically, and the airflow is interrupted by the opening and closing of the gate, so a compact wave is generated in the gate and becomes a sound. This is called laryngeal sound. The laryngeal sound is different from the sound of the acoustic characteristic of the oral cavity and the nasal cavity. The height and intensity of the voice are determined by the laryngeal sound. 후두원음 폐로부터 보내진 호기가 성문을 통과할 때에 성대점막을 주기적으로 진동시켜, 성문의 개폐에 의해서 호기류가 단속 되기 때문에 성문에서 소밀파(疏密波)가 생겨서 음이 된다. 이것을 후두원음이라고 한다. 후두원음이 구강, 비강 등의 공명강에서 음향특성의 수식을 받아 여러가지의 원어음이 된다. 목소리의 높이, 강도는 후두원음에 따라서 정해진다.
