The
Gongdeok-myeon is the northern part of Gimje-si, Jeollabuk-do, Republic of Korea. The area is 29.32㎢ and the population is 3,237 in 2010. Baekgye-myeon is located to the east of the face, Cheju-do to the west, Baeksan-myeon to the south, and Iksan-si to the north with the Mankyung River. It is under the jurisdiction of seven courts including Maehyun, Gongdeok, Donggye, Huangshan, Hyeongryong, Jemal, and Hassan, and the national road connecting Iksan and Gimje passes. The Jeongeum Elementary School is located in Donggye-ri, and the Hwanggang Elementary School is located in the southern part of Maehyun-ri near Hwasan-ri.
