It is a soup made by pouring cold water in marinated bamboo leaf with seasoning (miso, sesame, sugar, vinegar, minced garlic) It is also called "half cold". It is a perennial herbaceous plant with a diameter of more than 2 meters and is distributed in the southern part of Jeju Island. It is about 2m in height, leaf is gathered and long elliptical shape is similar to wild banana tree. Leaves, petioles, roots or boiled juice and squeeze drink, you have diuretic, antipyretic, analgesic, and calming action, so it is written in medicine in the private sector. 파초냉국 소금에 절인 파초잎을 양념(된장, 깨소금, 설탕, 식초, 다진 마늘)에 버무려 냉수를 부어 만든 국이다. 반치냉국이라고도 한다. 파초는 파초과의 여러해살이풀로 제주도에서는 반치라 불리며, 제주도 등 남부지방에 분포한다.높이는 2m 정도이며, 잎은 모여나고 긴 타원형으로 생김새가 야생 바나나나무와 비슷하다. 잎ㆍ잎자루ㆍ뿌리를 삶거나 즙을 짜서 마시면 이뇨ㆍ해열ㆍ진통ㆍ진해작용이 있으므로 민간에서는 약으로 쓴다.
