red bean
The red bean is an annual plant and is 30-50cm high. The fruit is also called as the cow, the red head, and the bean. The country of origin is the Asian Far East region, which was cultivated in China in 2000 years ago, and mainly cultivated in Korea, China and Japan. It is vine or standing, with long hairs spreading sideways. Leaves are alternate phyllotaxis, composed of 3 small leaves, and long petiole. From summer to autumn, flower stem comes out from each armpit and about 10 flowers run. Flowers bloom in August and are yellow. In addition to reddish brown, the color of seeds varies according to the varieties such as white, black and yellow green.
