Diode

Diod

In electronics, the diode is a component that prevents or restrains the direction of the charge carrier movement. In fact, it allows the electric current to flow in one direction but to prevent it in the opposite direction. Thus, the diode can be said as a valve in the electronic version. Circuits that require current in one direction will use one or more diodes in the circuit. The early diodes include a cats and vacuum tube diodes. Today, most diodes are made of semiconductor materials such as silicon or germanium.
