Ambassador
Ambassador is the highest diplomat representing their country. Diplomats are usually accredited for a state or sovereign government, or for international organizations, to serve as official officials representing their country. Sometimes the country also appoints respected individuals as ambassadors assigned to specific responsibilities and the ambassador works to advise and assist their government in the given field. The word ambassadors are also freely used for well-known non-governmental persons, to represent certain professions, activities or fields. In daily use, the word ambassador is often used for government representatives stationed in foreign capital. Foreign governments in which ambassadors serve often allow ambassadors to control a special territory called the embassy, where staff and even their vehicles are endowed with diplomatic immunity in the country they sit. The senior diplomats between the Commonwealth countries are known as the High Commissioner.
