Entomology
Entomology is a branch of science that studies insects. Derived from two Latin words - entomon means insects and logos meaning science. Insects are the largest group of animals compared to other animals or plants. So far, there are about 1 million species of insects that have been recorded. The number of species actually unknown since there is still a lot of unrecorded existence. The importance of entomological knowledge can be seen from the role of insects directly or indirectly in human life on earth. However, sometimes these fields are expanded to include arthropods.
