Sculpture
Sculpture is a statue that illustrates a specific entity, usually human, event, animal or object. The focus is symbolism. Many sculptures are created through reservations to commemorate a historic event, or the life of a figure. It is intended as a public art exhibited outside, but is sometimes also exhibited in public buildings to emphasize something to the past in a way that is more pronounced than what can be emphasized through the use of words. Sometimes, sculptures on her own inspired historical events. For example in 1986, when the Statue of Liberty celebrated its 100th birthday, a three-day celebration was held which attracted 12 million people. This festival is said to be the largest public event in the world until today. The list of guests is very unique. "We invite all the world's grand sculptures to its birthday party and create giant dolls to represent the sculptures", said Jeanne Fleming, the event's director. Each sculpture arrives accompanied by original music.
