Pedagogy
Pedagogy is a study of teaching, especially in formal education. In other words, it is science and art on how to teach at school. Generally pedagogy is a mandatory subject for those who want to become teachers in school. As a broad area of study, pedagogy involves research on teaching and learning processes, classroom management, school organization and teacher-student interaction. In terms of its etymology, the word Pedagogy comes from the Greek paidagogos, the servant who sent and took the boys back from school. The word "paida" refers to children, which makes the reason why some people tend to distinguish between pedagogy and andragogy. The Greek word for pedagogy, education, is used more widely, and often both can be changed for use.
