The Quran or the Quran is the holy book for Muslims. According to Islamic teachings, the Qur'an is a revelation that Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. through the Grace of Jibril who has reached the age now mutawatir. About the revealed Qur'an has a close connection with Lailatul Qadar. The Qur'an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad gradually in 23 years. In one of the verses contained in the Qur'an the Almighty says: "Truly We are the ones that bring down Adz-Dzikr, and We will guard them." The Quran recitation of the language is a reading or set of letters and sentences. This is based on the word of Allah: Verily, We are the Powerful to collect the Qur'an and establish its reading; So when We have completed its recital, read it according to its reading; While in terms of the term, the Qur'an is the prophetic word of God sent down to Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. through the angel Gabriel in Arabic, narrated mutawatir and read every letter is worship, beginning from Surah Al-Fatihah and ending with Surah An-Naas.

Al-Quran atau Quran ialah kitab suci bagi umat Islam. Menurut ajaran Islam, al-Quran ialah wahyu yang Allah turunkan kepada Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. melalui perantaraan Malaikat Jibril yang sampai ke zaman sekarang secara mutawatir. Perihal diturunkan Al-Quran mempunyai kaitan rapat dengan Lailatul Qadar. Al-Quran diturunkan kepada Nabi Muhammad secara beransur-ansur dalam tempoh 23 tahun. Dalam salah satu ayat yang terdapat di dalam Al-Quran Allah SWT berfirman: "Sesungguhnya Kamilah yang menurunkan Adz-Dzikr, dan Kamilah yang akan menjaganya". Lafaz Al-Quran dari segi bahasa adalah bacaan atau himpunan huruf dan kalimah. Ini berdasarkan firman Allah: Sesungguhnya Kamilah Yang Berkuasa mengumpulkan Al-Quran itu, dan menetapkan bacaannya; Oleh itu, apabila Kami telah menyempurnakan bacaannya, maka bacalah menurut bacaannya itu; Manakala dari segi istilah pula, al-Quran ialah kalam Allah yang bermukjizat diturunkan kepada Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. melalui perantaraan Malaikat Jibril dalam bahasa Arab, diriwayatkan secara mutawatir dan membaca setiap hurufnya adalah ibadah, bermula dari Surah Al-Fatihah dan berakhir dengan Surah An-Naas.
