Sikhism is a monotheistic religion founded on the teachings of Guru Nanak and nine other teachers in Punjab, India in the 15th century. The religion of Sikhism is the fifth largest religion in the world, with more than 23 million followers. Sikhism is derived from the Sikh word, which comes from the śiṣya basic word in Sanskrit, which means "pupil" or "student", or śikṣa which means "instruction". Sikhisme adalah sebuah agama monoteistik yang diasaskan mengikut ajaran Guru Nanak dan sembilan orang guru lain di Punjab, India pada abad ke-15. Agama Sikhisme adalah agama kelima terbesar di dunia, dengan lebih daripada 23 juta penganut. Sikhisme berasal daripada perkataan Sikh, yang datang daripada kata dasar śiṣya dalam bahasa Sanskrit, yang bermakna "murid" atau "pelajar", atau śikṣa yang bermaksud "arahan".
