Malpigia pomegranate, otherwise acerola, pomegranate starfish or Barbados cherry - a species of plant of the malpigosome family. Its native area is the southern part of North America, Central America and the northern part of South America. Malpigia granatolistna, inaczej acerola, nadgwiazdka granatolistna bądź wiśnia z Barbados – gatunek rośliny z rodziny malpigiowatych. Rodzimym obszarem jej występowania jest południowa część Ameryki Północnej, Ameryka Środkowa i północna część Ameryki Południowej.
