Caveat emptor - restriction of good faith in trade. This rule applies, among other things, to Anglo-Saxon law. For example, when buying a new home, both the seller and the seller's agent are not responsible for describing all possible defects of the home sold and that the buyer should make sure that the home purchased does not have any hidden defects. This principle in purchase agreements, also made in Poland, often expresses the reservation that the object is sold in the state of "where it is" or that the seller "is not responsible for hidden defects."
