Greek mythology, son of Atamas and Nephele, brother of Helle. Ino, Atamas' second wife, persecuted his children. To get rid of them, she persuaded her husband to give the son of Fryxos a sacrifice to the gods. However, in the dream of Fryxos, a mother appeared - Nefele, and told him to flee with her sister. To help the children escape, they sent a winged golden ram that lifted them to the east. As they flew over the strait separating Europe from Asia, Helle fell to the sea and died. As a reminder of this event, the Greeks called the Hellespont Strait. Fryxos arrived in Kolchida, where he was received by King Ajetes, who offered him the hand of his daughter Chalkiope. Fryksos – w mitologii greckiej, syn Atamasa i Nefele, brat Helle. Ino - druga żona Atamasa, prześladowała jego dzieci. Aby się ich pozbyć, namówiła męża, by oddał syna Fryksosa na ofiarę bogom. Jednak we śnie Fryksosowi ukazała się matka - Nefele, i poleciła mu uciekać wraz z siostrą. Aby pomóc dzieciom w ucieczce, zesłała im skrzydlatego barana o złotym runie, który uniósł je na wschód.
