Paulinia guarana

Paulinia guarana, also called guinea fowl, guarana or osprey - species of climber from the family of the delicatessen. Occurs in the Amazon River and in the Amazon. It is usually called guarana by the name of bitter-sour drink, made from its seeds. The name of the drink comes from the Guarani tribe. Paulinia guarana, zwana także ciernioplątem, guaraną lub osmętą – gatunek pnącza z rodziny mydleńcowatych. Występuje w całym dorzeczu Amazonki i Pary. Bywa nazywany zwyczajowo guaraną od nazwy gorzko-kwaśnego napoju, sporządzanego z jej nasion. Nazwa napoju zaś pochodzi od plemienia Guarani.
