Lir

Lir ("sea") - in Celtic mythology sea god. His parents were Danu and Beli, and the children (all from Penarddun - Manannan mac Lir, Bran and Branwen), his identity with Lear / Lire, the father of children converted according to legend "Children of Lira" ("Children of Lir" (Her mother's name is "Aoibh" and her sisters, her stepmother's witches are "Aoife", the names of the three Fionnual brothers are: Aodh, Fiachra and Conn.) Lir fell into slavery with Eurossvydd, who was imprisoned until his wife, Penarddun, agreed to spend the night with his oppressor. The children of Eurosswydda and Penarddun were twins: Nisien and Efnisien.

Jego tożsamość z Learem/Lirem, ojcem dzieci zamienionych według legendy "Dzieci Lira" - "Clann Lir" ("Children of Lir") w łabędzie przez ciotkę macochę nie jest do końca pewna. Do czwórki tych dzieci należała Fionnuala. (Imię jej matki to: "Aoibh" a jej siostry - czarownicy macochy - to: "Aoife", imiona trzech braci Fionnuali to: Aodh, Fiachra i Conn). Lir popadł w niewolę Eurosswydda, który więził go, aż jego żona, Penarddun, zgodziła się spędzić noc z jego opresorem. Dziećmi Eurosswydda i Penarddun byli bliźniacy: Nisien i Efnisien.
