Protestantism

Protestantyzm

Protestantism - one of the main branches of Christianity, alongside Catholicism and Orthodoxy, consists of religious communities created by the reformist movements within the Roman Catholic Church, begun by Martin Luther in the sixteenth century, and revival movements in the womb of Protestant denominations in successive centuries. Protestant churches in the bosom of the Protestant Church can be distinguished by a number of leading religions, including Lutheranism, Reform Evangelicalism, Anglicanism, Baptism, Methodism, Adventism and Pentecostalism. Around 800 million Protestants currently live in the world, representing about 40% of all Christians. This puts Protestantism in second place after Catholicism, in terms of the number of Christian associates in this line. Protestantism is the most dynamically developing branch of Christianity. Every day, 57,000 Protestants arrive, including 37,000 charismatic and 20,000 classics. W łonie Kościołów protestanckich wyróżnić można kilka wiodących wyznań, z czego główne to: luteranizm, ewangelicyzm reformowany, anglikanizm, baptyzm, metodyzm, adwentyzm i pentekostalizm.
