Post-mortem concentration

Stężenie pośmiertne

Post-mortem - muscle stiffness after death due to depletion of muscle energy accumulated in the form of ATP and phosphocreatine molecules. In properly functioning transverse striated muscles, cramps and diastolic muscle fibers continue to occur, with the chemical energy stored in ATP needed for diastole. When it runs out, fibers remain in the contraction phase, causing muscular rigidity and consequently stiffness of the whole body. Microscopically, muscle contraction and diastole is caused by the combination and separation of the complexes of two proteins - myosin and actin. In the shrunken muscle fibers they form an actomisin complex. This complex hydrolyzes ATP molecules and dissociates itself into the unbound actin and myosin proteins. Without ATP, the actin and myosin molecules remain bound. Postnatal mortality refers to skeletal and cardiac musculature. The mechanism described also results in the so-called. goose bumps, associated with muscle tension hairsmiths. Bez dostępu ATP cząsteczki aktyny i miozyny pozostają związane. Stężenie pośmiertne dotyczy mięśni szkieletowych oraz mięśnia sercowego. Opisany mechanizm powoduje również efekt tzw. gęsiej skórki, związany z napięciem mięśni stroszycieli włosów.
