Szema Jisrael

Shema Jisrael - one of the two most important, besides Amida, prayer in Judaism. It consists of biblical passages: Dt 6, 4-9; D \u0026 lt; 11 \u0026 gt ;, 13-21; Lb 15, 37-41. The present form was adopted at the turn of the second and third centuries BC, but already during the Second Temple in similar form was refused when submitting a permanent sacrifice tamid. Currently recited during morning and evening prayer. It is spoken without interruption, every word should be spoken carefully and correctly, with understanding. Speak loud enough to hear your own words. In the absence of formal belief in Judaism, the Shema fulfills its function. It contains three basic religious truths of Judaism: faith in one God, reward and punishment, and in God's revelation, expressed through the Torah. There are also three basic commandments of religion: the love of God, submission to his providence, and submission to the law expressed in the Torah. The first two fragments of Szemy, handwritten on parchment, form a mesoma that is placed at the door of a Jewish home.

Szema Jisrael – jedna z dwóch najważniejszych, obok Amidy, modlitw w judaizmie. Składa się z biblijnych fragmentów: Pwt 6, 4-9; Pwt 11, 13-21; Lb 15, 37-41. Obecną formę przyjęła na przełomie II i III w. n.e., jednak już w okresie Drugiej Świątyni w podobnej formie odmawiana była przy składaniu ofiary stałej tamid. Obecnie odmawiana w czasie modlitwy porannej i wieczornej. Jest wypowiadana bez przerw, każde słowo powinno być wypowiadana uważnie i poprawnie, ze zrozumieniem. Należy mówić na tyle głośno, by słyszeć własne słowa. Wobec braku w judaizmie formalnego wyznania wiary, Szema pełni jego funkcję. Zawiera w sobie trzy podstawowe prawdy religijne judaizmu: wiarę w jednego Boga, w nagrodę i karę, oraz w objawienie boże, wyrażone poprzez Torę. Mieści także trzy podstawowe przykazania religii: miłości Boga, poddania się Jego opatrzności oraz podporządkowania się prawu wyrażonemu w Torze. Dwa pierwsze fragmenty Szemy, ręcznie przepisane na pergaminie, tworzą mezuzę, która jest umieszczana przy drzwiach żydowskiego domu.
