Agave is a genus of succulent plants of the family Agavaceae, originating mainly from Mexico and to a lesser extent from the United States, Central America and South America. It is composed of 183 species, some of which are widely cultivated as Agave sisalana, Agave tequilana, Agave American and Agave attenuata for ornamental purposes. Agave attenuata.
