This region shows a good level of similarity among the CDK inhibitors (De
Veylder et al., 2001; Zhou et al., 2002a; Coelho et al., 2005; Bisbis et al., 2006).

Modern Solvents in Organic Synthesis
However, due to a need to develop new water-soluble ligands with higher
efficiency in hydroformylation of propene, Herrmann and co-workers prepared
sulfonated ligands Bisbis-Na, Norbos-Na, and Binas-Na (Scheme 1) [51– 53].

Organic Synthesis in Water
In the case of BISBIS, it was shown that even the phenyl rings of
diphenylphosphino groups were partially sulfonated. The resulting ligands
showed very high performance in rhodium-catalyzed hydroformylation in
biphasic media.
Examples of novel ligands include the sulfonated phosphines 24 (norbos), 25 (
binas) and 27 (bisbis, when X=S03Na, Z=H, Y=C6H4-/n-S03Na, x=l, n=0,l)
depicted in Table 2. Rhodium catalysts modified with bisbis and norbos exhibit
an ...
