Fuselo

The fuselis is a liming bird of the family Scolopacidae, which reproduces in the tundra and coasts of the Arctic especially in the Old World and that passes the winters on the coasts of the temperate and tropical regions of the Old World. It is the record bird for the longest non-stop flight as well as the longest trip without any break for feeding among all animals, 11,570 km along a route from Alaska to New Zealand. O fuselo ou chalreta, é uma ave limícola da família Scolopacidae, que se reproduz na tundra e costas do Ártico sobretudo no Velho Mundo e que passa os invernos nas costas das regiões temperadas e tropicais do Velho Mundo. Trata-se da ave recordista para o voo mais longo sem paragens bem como da viagem mais longa sem qualquer pausa para alimentação entre todos os animais, 11 570 km ao longo de uma rota do Alasca até à Nova Zelândia.
